Description

Our new cyQlone™ instrument is the next evolution of NextGenPCR™ thermal cycling technology. The instrument is equipped with a cleverly engineered optical module that allows for powerful 6-channel multiplexing. The innovative optics system performs extremely rapid fluorescence measurements, averaging a detection time of 20 milliseconds per channel per cycle. A full 96-well microplate can be amplified and analyzed in as little as 9 minutes, making cyQlone™ the fastest SBS-format qPCR instrument on the planet.

But the capabilities of cyQlone™ go beyond its industry-leading speed. By maintaining three constant temperatures instead of temperature ramping, temperature under- and overshoot is prevented, contributing to excellent precision. In addition, precision is enhanced by the compression of the microplate during cycling, which produces highly uniform temperature distribution throughout the wells.

Another key benefit of cyQlone™ is its focus on supporting more sustainable laboratory workflows. Its low energy consumption (200 W) helps laboratories to reduce overall power usage. The system further minimizes environmental impact through proprietary SBS-format microplates that contain up to 75% less plastic than standard PCR microplates. Moreover, cyQlone™ supports reaction volumes from 0.2-20 µL, minimizing reagent consumption per assay.

cyQlone™ is a semi-open instrument expected to be compatible with a broad range of existing probe-based and intercalating dye RT-qPCR chemistries, facilitating straightforward integration into established laboratory workflows. Its space-saving design, measuring just under 20 cm in width, ensures no valuable bench space is compromised.
